Joby Aviation Inc is also working with ANA HOLDINGS in an endeavor to create quiet flying taxis (air taxis).

Autonomous Mobility Project in Tokyo Waterfront City

This corner showcases a project for bringing to Tokyo’s waterfront subcenter area transit services based on self-driving technology. As part of the project, a small, self-driving electric bus goes around Symbol Promenade Park. Please make a reservation in advance. For details and application, please see the website below.

This section features demonstrations in which a drone takes off from and lands on a scaled-down version of a floating port, developed for the takeoff and landing of flying vehicles. It also showcases an automated robot equipped with infrared sensors moving around the section and highlights comparisons between this robot and other ordinary robots.

Hydro Bingo is the world’s first passenger ship powered by hydrogen, meeting all safety standards. It has a passenger capacity similar to that of conventional ships. Experience the riding comfort and speed equivalent to conventional ships powered by fossil fuels.

The maiden flight of a flying vehicle in Tokyo

A flying vehicle of Marubeni Aerospace Corporation will make its first flight over Tokyo as part of the company’s “Next-generation mobility: Flying vehicles” project during the period of the Showcase Program.

Round-Palette Experience

Visitors to this area can enjoy riding the new mobility platform “Round-Palette.” The open mobility option moves slowly so as to provide a new value to people’s “movement” — they can enjoy post-ride chats and nearby sightseeing spots.

Tech Skateboarding Zone

Visitors to this corner can enjoy the power and charm of skateboarding through professional riders’ demonstrations and the participation in trial sessions. Visitors of any age can ride skateboards for free under the guidance of professional coaches.
