A science live show will be held, offering children and their parents an opportunity to explore the mechanisms behind technologies and energy through engaging scientific experiments. The show will feature Genki Ichioka, a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo and a popular science artist on YouTube. (This program is a special feature to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Kodomo no Kagaku magazine.)
Genki Ichioka
After graduating from Tokyo Gakugei University’s Elementary Education Course in Science, he established a stock company named Genki Labo in 2019 and launched the YouTube channel Genki Labo. It quickly gained popularity, surpassing 1 million registered viewers in March 2024. Committed to sharing the excitement of science with a wide audience, he conducts and supervises experiments on television and stage. In March 2024, he was appointed as a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo’s Institute for Future Initiatives, which recognized his highly regarded science live shows and experiments held across Japan.He is also involved in activities aimed at translating complex scientific and research concepts into easily understandable language for a broader audience.
